Ok i just got the parts to build a new system , it has a problem with
powering down after its on for awhile or heavy processing . the unit totally
powers off ... some times the unit powers off loading linux sometimes i can
get linux up and it powers off at compile of software ( running linux in 64
bit mode windows xp is in 32 bit mode )

its a hardware problem (happens under both windows and linux )
processor stays at around 26 degrees C and case temp is 22 degrees C
one chip gets hot to the touch (the boards north / south bridge chip )

i need someone that would like to help with this problem , im thinking its the
board but i would like to be sure anyone have a highend power supply that i
could use to test just to rule out power supply .

system has
amd x2 4200
4gb ddr2 ram 667 mhz
antec case w/500 watt module power supply
1 - sata hd 350 gb
2 ide hd misc sizes
1 ide dvdrw
1 180mm fan 2 80 mm fans (processor fan grafics chipset fan and 2x
-power supply fans ) lots of airflow in this case
gigabyte GA-m55sli-s4 (am2 /ddr2/sata/ide/sli/sound/lan mainboard)
nvidia 7600GToc video card ( only one no sli setup )
