Yeah, I would check the caps as well.  It could be an indication that the
mobo is not getting enough power.  ie, its being overloaded.  It seems that
overheating is not the cause of failure.  One of my old gigabyte boards said
it could run 2gb ram, but it turns out only under special circumstances.  It
would only run occasionaly, and ultimately, I had to pull one chip and leave
it at 1gb.  The rebooting could because too much ram, which is could be
cause electrical errors on the board.  Maybe pull 2gb out of it and see if
its more stable.  or...buy a cooler for the northbridge chip.  they are
cheap, like $7 or so.
