OK, folks. You've completely lost me. I just replied to Jason's comment and
read what came next. I can get a shutdown, but no message. The desktop
environment is KDE. I like Steve's thought that a message should popup
whether in GUI or CLI. However, these kids will be in the GUI, so that's
what I have to deal with. So, what do I have to do to get a warning message.
Also, is duration of the message an issue?
