yeah sbc err att has a crappy way to do registration (windows only ), they
had a site that you could directly goto to registers before you got the
service . the other part is to log into the modem set it to log in and do
the PPP so any computer connecting to it just does normal lan connection this
saves some time when connecting multiple computers . ( note the setup most
the time sets the modem to do the PPP but not always remember the settings
and always stay connected you will want to adjust those settings to always
remember your username and password and to always stay connected so if powers
lost it works like above too ... second note your email address password
controls the modem password when you change it you have to change the
password for PPP to log into the internet this gets many people )

so your email and password is the modems connection username and password . i
had sbc service its not that bad you can hit up www.mail.yahoo.com and access
your sbc/att email there just use username@sbcglobal.net and your password
to loginto your sbc email .

also in order to talk to the yahoo dsl modem sometimes you have to setup a
network thats the same network for its deafult registration it dont always
send the right / correct information question do you have the 2wire modem or
one of the cheap black brick ones ( put a fan on it or cook on it ) i still
have a black brick one that supports manualy setting it up .
