yellowdog linux 5 is coming to ps3 to be released sometime in mid-november
i think it will be neat to have a ps3 running lnux . wonder if i will mess
with linux or play games mostly on it .... 256 mb main ram and 256 mb video
ram , cell processor all ps2 hardware (chip and video) and special nvidia
card Rsx with hdmi outputs, 4x usb 2.0 ports , bluetooth ,wifi and memory
card slots , hard drive
yes and if theres driver support .... it would be a nice pc replacement
either there will be no access to the blueray drive or via hardware will
block ps3 games from being seen and blue ray disks ... or we might see a
linux client to watch them ..... not holding my breath though ....
also a note seems yellowdog works with ibm with there cell blade servers and
special projects for research groups.using the cell processor, they also
support ppc processors which cell is a bassed on .

a $600 pc thats also a standalone gaming box , yes i know you can say you can
build a pc for 600 or cheaper , but not a full blown gaming pc .
i still think that microsoft could be hurt very badly if sony included linux
on the ps3 at launch or sortly after , it would send that massege that
windows is not the only operating system in the universe you can wakeup now .
oh you can install this on that pc too . its stable , what no viruses , what
no DRM . OMG no spyware ... stop lying its free ..
