Here is the info Joe
You get it from AT&T
You must have AT&T local phone service
You do the setup (Very easy)
You pay $12.95 Shipping for the modem, cables and 5 phone filters
A wired modem costs $50
A wireless Modem with 4 Ethernet ports costs $80
aether way you get a $50 rebate
No contract, but I guessif you sign up for a year you get a free month.

For only $30 bucks more I went with the wireless modem, it comes with Wep
encryption turned on by default.
It worked with Ubuntu out of the box, and the wireless worked with my
laptop.
It took three days for my modem to arrive and my service is supposed to be
turned on this cumming Monday
but I could not wait to try it, and it was working Thursday when I hooked it
up.
You can get faster speeds for more money, but I went with the $14.95,
768kbs down and 384kbs up
I actually got about 680kbs down but it seems darn fast, I am delighted so
far.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
Jim
