What have others experiences with FDE (Full Disk Encryption) on Linux ?

I'm looking to replace the OS on a few co-workers laptops (20-35) with a
Flavor of Linux (undecided- but either Fedora/CentOS - or Debian/Ubuntu) but
FDE is a requirement, currently we have Windows Laptops with VMWare to run
different vm images of security tools that we run, and we have PGP Desktop
FDE and PGP universal server for the key escrow purposes. A linux host
running vm for the windows stuff is where we would like to go.

I'll probably install debian 4.0 - soon to see how it goes, but I was
wondering if there is a solution for the RedHat side or for Ubuntu --
(dm-crypt / LUKS --seem to be the software to make it work.

Any comments or experiences ?
