First: the drive is SCSI.

Second: the 6100 probably has somewhere around OS 8.5. Any Mac with a later
OS and has either an internal SCSI drive or an external SCSI connection can
read the drive directly.

Third: Paul is right about Linux being able to read the drive. However, Mac
files, then, had a forked file structure. If you don't get both, the file is
junk.

Forth: BEFORE you do anything else, try replacing the internal battery
(looks like a miniature barrel). Some things on some Macs just will not work
unless the battery is good. Can't guarantee it'll work, but it's the easiest
thing to try.

If the battery doesn't work, report back and I'll find a Mac for you to use.

Jim
