today i got a compaq proliant ml370 G2 has a p3 1.113 ghz processor with 25=
6=20
mb ram , actualy has an install of OS/2 warp ..... talk about fast on this=
=20
hardware lol=20

the unit still has plenty of ram slots to upgrade and a second processor sl=
ot =20
(needs PMM to work )  2x 19gb 10k scsi drives with room for 4x more drives =
in=20
the drive bay .... the server weighs over 100lbs   unit has dual redundent=
=20
power supplys ... sounds like a jet taking off  .... the system appears to=
=20
have a compaq system rom it can be set for os type to be linux .. although=
=20
the system appears not to be able to boot from a cd-rom  although network=20
booting is an option  has a floppy cd-rom and tape-drive currently i dont=20
have any boot disks (looks around for his stack of really dusty floppy disk=
s)=20
i might just try a network boot option .... want to setup an ubuntu netboot=
=20
install server=20

well i think i may get the second processor and get 1gb memory to go in the=
=20
unit make it usefull for something .... space heater in winter  ... ( futur=
e=20
case mod )  something tells me this unit wont take standard memory=20
