I think I see what that gets me. I've got a Samba browser open on both
systems. I opened a "Mount share manually" dialog box but don't know what to
type in the "Share" entry. Scratch that, found out that's a location. But,
it didn't like what I chose. Went back to the sending system and created the
user and folder Samba insisted it had to have. Put the files I needed in
that folder. On the receiving system, success. I was able to transfer the
files easily.


Thanks to all of you who made suggestions. Without them I wouldn't have
wound up able to do this.
