[QCLUG] Instability problem with ubuntu

I honesty would like to know why firefox had to go out of there way to
do this. debian dont release firefox branding because the branding
itself goes against
what open source is trying to obtain. ( you not permitted to modify
any of the trademarked
stuff or call firefox ... firefox with modification ) Also from what
i read they don't want distro customizations or modified
versions of firefox floating around.and want all changes to go to them
before allowing it in firefox.
So if debain wanted to patch a security bug they could as long as it
didnt carry the firefox trademarks.

The only thing i mentioned confusion for new users is most other web
browsers are based off different
engines all together now theres going to be 2 that are almost
identical ( does debain go further to modify firefox
with patches besides striping the trademarked bs out of it ? ) but
thats also saying is if debain allows both to be installed
now another thing intersting ubuntu allows both to be installed but
defaults with firefox. ( plus new users are going to look
where firefox is if there use to running it allot of people think
firefox is an example of open source software)

so basicly from more of what i read Iceweasal is a complete folk of
the current code base of firefox ( minus trademarked stuff and
talkback)
do you think this is only gona stay a fork or do you think there gona
head off in there own direction ?
