I have the QWest 7Mbps service and like it very much - had to configure
their DSL modem a bit though as its wireless option didn't provide good
coverage from my home. I can dig up my notes on that if your interested
on how to make their DSL modem a pass through, which I'd recommend as
their firewall is nothing but NAT tables.
Your right about the windows part - hate to say it, but I'd recommend
you use a windows box for the initial setup - you can do the manual
setup, but its a pain as the PPPoE user id and password have to be
generated, so be sure to write it down and store where you can find it!
