Installing from source? After 'make install' is all done, you can
safely destroy the entire contents of the extracted source archive
(both the tar.gz and extracted directory), since 'make install'
scatters the application files to the appropriate places on the
system, which is another reason why package management stuff is great.
As always, no question is dumb :)
