Thanks Aaron, The gksudo solved another problem I had. I didn't know 
about this but am sure I will put it to use. as far as getting my image 
in it didn't do anything but that isn't a big thing and I don't need it. 
It just confused me since I got it to work and then later, after I 
upgraded to 8.04, it lost the image and won't let me put it in. It has 
done this before and I'm not sure why. Not big thing though. I am glad 
to find out about the gksudo though, I'm sure it will come in handy. 
While trying it I figured out how to get "Tomboy Notes" to work in 
Kubuntu. That had me stumped but one thing led to another from your 
suggestion and I tripped on the resolution to Tomboy.
