That's understandable. If you need to launch a file manager like
Konqueror or Dolphin with root permissions, you can use kdesudo to
start them (it pops up a little dialog which asks for your password).

for example:
kdesudo dolphin

You could make a desktop shortcut for it or something if you'd like,
that might make life a little easier.

Otherwise, if you look on the K-Menu under System there should be a
"File Manager - Super User Mode", that's essentially the same thing.
