Hey, I'm new too. I tried to send a message through last week, but it
didn't go through.

I was just going to pop in here and say I too receive several network errors
when rebooting and shutting down Ubuntu. II've had these network errors in
7.04 - 8.04 versions of Ubuntu. Been there consistently on three or four
very different machines that I've installed. I should do some digging in
Ubuntu's bug-tracker, but as it hasn't seemed to cause me any noticeable
problems, I've left it alone. The only thing I've noticed is my computer
occasionally hangs up and stops during the shutdown process, but always
loads just fine.

In case my first email didn't get through, I wanted to give a brief bio on
myself:

Name is Culley Smith. Live in East Moline and work for the Prairie Area
Library System. I'm the "web dude" here. I run a Windows 2003 Server,
Ubuntu 7.10 Server, and a Fedora 4 server. At home, I'm running Ubuntu
Desktop (7.10) and Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy on a laptop. I push open source as an
option for libraries all of the time and spent some time helping one library
director tweak Xandros on her Asus Eee PC last week.
