I'd add another point:

 4) Be aware that you are posting to a list that is archived
publically on the web.  This means be sure to add links to good
stuff, but don't give stuff that doesn't it deserve it any
Google juice by naming it or linking it.  I tried to make this
point to some boneheads on another LUG mailing list, who
insisted on sending a link to some forum troll's work, or who
insisted on quoting the original message containing that link. 
Gah.


Anyway, I'm not sure what the deal is--I thought I'd
unsubscribed when I moved from Iowa (if not before) but now all
of a suddent a few weeks ago, I find myself getting list traffic
again via my will-disappear-someday isu address.

Which is fine, I'm enjoying reading it every now and again, and
am glad qclug is still chugging along.  Good job with that tech
show, looks like it worked out well, what with making yourselves
known to some folks who've since joined the list and have
something to contribute!
