ah the MS format war ...... whats sad is they been caught buying out people to vote yes.<br>oh and currently only there office suit opens these new formats and people are hitting walls using the provided specs to make filters for openoffice ..... oh and just because its a zipped xml files yet if you edit simple things office rejects it as an error
<br><br>ya and my college is forcing it allready too , i can open .Docs fine but so far nothing opens this new format ...<br><br>basicly this is to make a half open spec a standard so they can sell / lock more people into there office suit
<br><br>even as xml they made sure in order to read it 100% in another program you have to still reverse engineer the bugs in the way office stores the information .<br><br>they want this bad ..... so theres a solution that leads to them ........
