hard-drive space ( adding a future second drive would be nice ) <br>17" screen size <br>2gb-ram <br>Nvidia video <br>linux working wifi <br>DVD-RW<br>dual-core processor at least 2.0 ghz <br>( may have to have a dual-boot option with winxp and support vmware well under linux )
<br>gateway has some nice tablet pc's with pen support but linux support for the pen looks like its in its beta stage<br><br>The main problem with many companies getting a laptop is support for linux hardware wise theres always something that dont work
<br>and ati video cards are not even an option i will never go through that again. <br><br>Anyone try intel x31000 video yet is it any good ?<br> <br>
