Rule of thumb for swap on most machines used to be <i>twice as much swap as you have ram</i>. <br>IE: 2gb ram = 4gb swap<br><br><b><a href="https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SwapFaq">https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SwapFaq</a></b><br>

</div>The swap partition usually only needs around 250mb (if that), from what<br>
I understand. Heck, I've gotten away with no swap partition, but it's<br>
probably not a good idea from a performance standpoint.<br>
