Debian Etch<br><br>I have a scanner attached to an Adaptec card. Only use s=
canner on average twice a month for about 15 minutes, off and disconnedted =
from the card the rest of the time.  Most of the time after connecting th=
e scanner back to the card and powering it up  I have to reboot for the c=
ard to be recognised again. I&#39;ve searched the repositories with every t=
erm I can think of. Tools for working with the bus - yes. Working with the =
card - no. All I really want to do is be able to restart the card similar t=
o start/stop the NIC. Command line, something.<br>
